Claim a Subdomain
Learn how to claim a subdomain once a launched domain hits its bonding curve. Stake domain tokens to mint your subdomain, then optionally set it as your primary name on Doma.
Subdomains are unlocked from launched domains. Once a launched domain hits its bonding curve, subdomain minting opens up, letting holders claim their own subdomain of that name.
How to Claim a Subdomain
Step 1: Wait for Minting to Open
Subdomain minting becomes available once the launched domain hits its bonding curve.
Step 2: Head to the Launch Page
Navigate to the launch page of the domain and click Claim Subdomain.
Step 3: Check Availability
Check whether your desired subdomain name is still available.
Step 4: Stake Domain Tokens
To claim it, you'll need to stake tokens of the domain you're claiming the subdomain from.
Step 5: Mint
Confirm the transaction to mint your subdomain.
Optional: Set it as your primary Name
You can set your new subdomain as your primary name on Doma. This lets you use it in place of your wallet address, so instead of sending or receiving funds to something like 0xEfaJaj..., people can send them directly to banana.smoothie.com.
